Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch has taken on a top leadership post of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus for the 114th Congress. Risch will serve as the Republican Co-Chair of the bipartisan caucus alongside Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia.
“It is an honor to serve as Co-Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus after serving as Vice-Chair in both the 112th and 113th Congress,” said Risch. “Like so many other Idahoans, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and shooting sports and value the strong principles associated with them. I look forward to working with Senator Manchin in the U.S. Senate on behalf of America’s sportsmen and women.”
The unique and collective force of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, working closely with Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, serves as an unprecedented network of pro-sportsmen elected officials that advance the agenda of America’s hunters and anglers. Risch has been an active member of the caucus since being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2009.
