Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID) made the following statement on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty:

“I support the declaration that the Russian Federation is in “material breach” of the INF Treaty, and I am encouraged that all of our NATO allies recognize Russia's violations. The Russians have violated this Treaty for years, and the President’s determination simply recognizes something the Transatlantic community has known for quite some time. Russia must decide to honor its obligations under the Treaty or the United States will have no choice but to withdrawal because this cannot be a one-way street.”
