BOISE, Idaho – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) released the following statement upon the passing of former U.S. Senator for Georgia, Johnny Isakson:

"Today, Vicki and I are mourning the loss of a colleague and our good friend, Johnny Isakson. In the years we served together in the U.S. Senate, I came to know Johnny well. He was a man of exceptional character who was devoted to his family, serving the people of Georgia and doing what was right. I was honored to know and call him a friend, and will miss him. Our prayers and condolences are with Dianne and the entire Isakson family."
