Washington, D.C. – Idaho Senator Jim Risch issued the following statement after President Obama’s address to the Joint Session of Congress.
"The President delivered a very good speech and a speech people can agree with in most respects. It was light on details, but I was delighted to hear he is turning his attention to what we have said is the root of the problem—the frozen credit in the banking sector and the housing market.
"The economic problems we face are not a Democrat problem and they are not a Republican problem, they are an American problem. I am anxious to see the details of his proposals before I jump on board, but he is certainly headed in the right direction."
