Washington, D.C. - In recognition of their tremendous efforts and years of success, U.S. Senator Jim Risch has named Cascade Rescue as the Idaho Small Business of the Day for the first day of National Small Business Week 2014.  The company will be recognized in the Congressional Record of the United States Senate.

“I am pleased to recognize Cascade Rescue as an outstanding small business.  This is a company that has grown and adapted for nearly 50 years,” said Sen. Risch. “Locally owned and operated, Cascade Rescue has expanded to offer over 150 products and exports to 23 countries abroad. Today, the company is recognized as an internationally respected brand. I congratulate everyone at Cascade Rescue on their success and wish them the very best in the future.”

Founded in 1966, Cascade Rescue continues to be a key manufacturer of life-saving equipment that ski patrols, firefighters, and medical technicians rely on every day across America and overseas. Their commitment to high-quality products and customer service has enabled them to adapt to constant changes in improved technologies and the marketplace. Cascade Rescue is symbolic of the small business spirit that drives Idaho’s economy.

Senator Risch is the highest ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  The committee oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to entrepreneurship and provides oversight of the Small Business Administration.  They also research, investigate and report all problems relating to American’s small businesses to the full Senate.
