President Biden’s immigration policies and inattention to the border has resulted in:

• Five million illegal border crossings — more than double the population of Idaho;
• 1.4 million known gotaways; and
• Huge quantities of illicit fentanyl hitting our communities

Yet, things are about to go from bad to worse: with Title 42 on the verge of ending, Border Patrol is preparing for 18,000 illegal crossings every day. 

I have pushed this administration to see reason and institute real immigration policy, but it just isn’t getting through. This week I wrote Sec. Mayorkas demanding answers.

Idahoans deserve a secure border. That means extending Title 42, completing the border wall, making the Remain in Mexico program permanent, establishing minimum staffing levels for enforcement and patrol agents, and ensuring detention facilities are sufficient. All of this can be achieved with my legislation the Solving the Border Crisis Act.
