The crisis at our southern border seems to get worse every day. Unfortunately, the president and his administration’s policies are exacerbating it at every turn.

This week, the admin decided to scale back funding to detain illegal migrants at the southern border despite soaring border crossings. This is irresponsible and jeopardizes our national security.

Last week, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 2.5 million fentanyl pills at one port in Arizona. Thank goodness CBP prevented these pills from entering the U.S., but too much is still seeping in.

A secure border would not only deter illegal migrants but it would also make a huge difference in stopping fentanyl from killing more Idahoans.

Over the last several weeks, I have introduced five other bills to secure our border, improve our national security, and slow the flow of illegal drugs into our country.

This week, I introduced the Strengthening Enforcement to Curtail Unlawful, Risky Entrance to (SECURE) Flights Act, which would prevent TSA from allowing illegal aliens to use immigration enforcement documents, such as arrest warrants, as identification when boarding commercial flights.

If an Idahoan gets a speeding ticket, they can’t use the ticket to get on a flight. Why does the president seem to think an illegal immigrant’s arrest warrant is a valid form of identification to board a plane? This is yet another example of the Biden administration’s outrageous immigration policies.
