Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch today was sworn in for a second term as United States Senator for Idaho. The oath of office was administered by Vice President Joe Biden at noon Eastern Time in the Senate chamber.
“It is incredibly humbling to have the honor of serving the people of Idaho for another six years in the United States Senate,” said Risch. “My first term in the U.S. Senate was marked by a variety of very serious challenges facing our great nation. It has been a privilege to listen to my fellow Idahoans and vote on their behalf on those incredibly important issues and I am eager to have the opportunity to serve once again.”
