WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) today wrote U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland urging him to investigate the pro-Hamas criminals who disgracefully and illegally vandalized the Los Angeles National Cemetery, where more than 80,000 veterans are buried. The words “INTIFADA” and “FREE GAZA” were found spray-painted on the grounds of the cemetery.

“The men and women who serve in the U.S. military exemplify the sacrifice, determination, and bravery that all Americans should strive for,” wrote the Senators. “Like those currently serving in our military, the veterans buried at the Los Angeles National Cemetery fought to protect the fundamental rights of all Americans in countless wars, even the rights of Americans who lack the moral clarity to condemn terrorism.”

Joining Risch, Crapo, and Rubio were Senators Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), John Hoeven (R-N.D.), Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), and Susan Collins (R-Maine).
