New Web Site Launched

June 26, 2009

Washington, DC - Senator Jim Risch today announced his new Senate Web site is now operational and encouraged citizens to visit the site at www.risch.senate.gov.

"I am very pleased with the new site that makes it easier for Idahoans to contact my office for their specific requests. The services my office provides to our citizens is very important and I want it to be accessible and easy to use," said Risch. "This site also has information on the critical issues I am working on in the Senate."

An Action Center highlights several items Webpage visitors use most often. The Contact Me button allows a person to send an e-mail to Senator Risch directly from the page.

"One of the features constituents tell me they like is a quick way to send me a message on an issue that concerns them. It is also a good way for me to see what their thoughts are on a given topic," Risch said.

The Web site also features a banner at the bottom of the page that allows citizens to quickly find the closest regional office. The interactive map of Idaho highlights all the counties served by a specific regional office. By clicking on either the map or city name the address and telephone number of the office is displayed.

"Oftentimes it is easier for a citizen to contact my regional office, especially when they are personally dealing with a complex federal issue," Risch said. "My constituent services staff can assist them in resolving the problems they may be having with a federal agency."

The Idahoans in D.C. tab features photos of Senator Risch with various Idaho constituents who meet with him on Capitol Hill. This section will be updated frequently.
