Washington, D.C. - In recognition of their tremendous efforts and years of success, U.S. Senator Jim Risch has named Quale Electronics as the Idaho Small Business of the Month for August. The company will be recognized in the Congressional Record of the United States Senate.
“I am pleased to recognize Quale Electronics as an outstanding small business. This is a company that epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit of Idaho,” said Risch. “A true family business, Mel Quale has grown his business through decades and generations. I congratulate Mr. Quale and his family on their success and wish them the very best in the future.”
Quale Electronics opened its doors as a television repair shop in 1966. After only a year, Mr. Quale branched out to include retail television and home electronics retail. He continued to adapt with the changing electronic landscape of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Not only is he an entrepreneur, but also a dedicated and active member of the Twin Falls community. Mr. Quale is always looking for ways to contribute to the region that helped him and his business to grow.
Senator Risch is the highest ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. The committee oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to entrepreneurship and provides oversight of the Small Business Administration. They also research, investigate and report all problems relating to American’s small businesses to the full Senate.
