BOISE, Idaho – Following the events that transpired at the United States Capitol on January 6th, U.S. Senator Jim Risch’s (R-Idaho) staff organized a thank-you drive for U.S. Capitol Police. Over the course of one week, Risch staffers collected hundreds of thank you notes and treats from concerned Americans and Capitol Hill offices alike. Staffers in the Risch office then assembled the gift bags and thank you notes and delivered them to U.S. Capitol Police.

“Over the past few weeks, my staff assembled care packages and collected hundreds of messages for the United States Capitol Police force thanking them for their service to our democracy and our country,” said Risch. “This would not have been possible without the efforts of my scheduling team, Alexa Green and Mercedes Erikson, and the many other staff members who contributed to this operation. I am proud of each and every one of my staff.”
